Clive Parkman

Managing Director

Clive joined Daikin Applied in January 2017 having spent 8 years as Managing Director of Airedale International Ltd based in Leeds where he acquired extensive knowledge of the UK Chiller and AHU markets. He is a qualified Chartered Engineer with an Aeronautical Engineering degree from Loughborough University. Clive has spent over 30 years in manufacturing and achieved his MBA from the Open University. “Daikin is a world leader in the HVAC space and they continue to develop products focused on improving energy efficiency and exceeding environmental targets; our job here in the UK is to continue to provide our clients with market leading Chiller, AHU and Service & Maintenance solutions, designed specifically to meet their needs”

Jim Henley

Sales Director

Jim has been in the HVAC industry since 1971. “This was at the time of decimalisation, when Feet, Inches, CFM & Btu’s were turning into mm, M, m3/s and kW. My working life began as a student apprentice and covered the design and manufacture of not only the first true AHU’s sold in the UK but also of all the key components that go to make up today’s modern air conditioning systems. As you can see I have been involved in AHU’s for many years and have worked on the most complex and large projects down to the smallest, off the shelf standard units. I have also spent time living and working in the middle east so fully understand different regional requirements for our products and services. Since joining Daikin Applied in 1995 formally known as McQuay, I have further developed my knowledge in the application and generation of chilled water and cooling. Our products have evolved massively into today’s product portfolio of high efficiency equipment covering virtually all client needs. Successful equipment application and sales now takes a fully holistic approach and should consider a basket of criteria to arrive at the best possible client solution. Part of my on-going remit is to develop this fully into the industry, clients and our younger colleagues.”

Mick Humphrey

National Sales Manager

Mick has been with Daikin Applied UK, formerly known as McQuay for 20 years, previously spending 20 years at Ozonair, as UK Sales Manager. Mick has over 40 years’ experience within the HVAC industry and has been a committee member of the AHU HVAC division for some 11 years and has successfully gained a qualification from the CMI (Chartered Management Institute). Mick took on the role of UK National Sales Manager in 2002; his tenacious and proactive approach has resulted in numerous important contract wins on some of the most prestigious and largest projects in London. “With a great team on board and the right products, I’m pleased to arm my team with continuous market knowledge and the guidance to build new relationships in a very competitive market place. This has resulted in Daikin Applied UK being the market leader for the last 5 years in the bespoke AHU market “

Barry Coe

National Service Manager

Barry Coe, is our National Service Manager for Daikin Applied Service. Barry started off as a McQuay Service field service engineer over 21 years ago . He has since held various management positions within the organisation. Based at the Southern service office, "I am fortunate enough to manage a great service team of over 68 staff across the UK striving to deliver a high level of customer service to our customers on all manufacturers HVAC equipment in the field. With an ever changing industry, the day to day challenges of achieving this is most rewarding, with customer satisfaction being the main focal point of our goals."

John McCarthy MCMI

National Projects Manager

John has been with Daikin Applied UK for over 7 years. He is our National Projects Manager, responsible for a team 15 Project Engineers. This Incorporates Estimating and Sales Support, along with Project Delivery for our AHU & Chiller Projects. “I am always striving for the highest level of Customer Service. Having spent time as a HVAC Engineer, and having held various senior roles within the DAPUK Projects Team. I am a dynamic and experienced operational and commercial leader.”

James Henley

Chiller Product Manager

James joined the company over 10 years ago, in what was his first job within the HVAC industry and has never looked back. Starting out as a contracts engineer focused on delivering project solutions on-time, on-budget and to client expectations, before progressing into sales and now as the Chiller Product Manager. Having worked throughout the business I feel I have a well-rounded approach to the HVAC industry, offering the right solutions to individual applications. Daikin Applied is the world leading company enabling delivery of cutting edge HVAC solutions to the market. My role as Chiller Product Manager helps shape the future solutions we can supply to the market to exceed expected demands. This is alongside involvement in marketing and client events, it’s an exciting role where no two days are the same.

Nikita Patel

Marketing Manager

Nikita started her career in the HVAC industry in 2006 with a leading manufacturer. After dipping into the IT sector for a few years she joined Daikin Applied UK in March 2016. Nikita has a BA Hons in Marketing and comes with an exceptional ability to work closely with product managers to develop compelling sales collateral, integrated marketing campaigns and bid and tender support, leading to sales growth. She’s highly experienced in lead generation, web development, project & event management as well as public relations.

Owen Sawyer

Financial Controller

Owen joined Daikin Applied UK, formerly known as McQuay over 10 years ago. Heading up Finance as well as IT, Owen is a member of the senior management team and gets involved in a variety of projects within the organisations across UK, Europe and Worldwide. Although qualified as an accountant Owen has had responsibilities outside of traditional finance, including quality control, health & safety, HR and business ownership. “Canadian by birth, but Geordie land is my home”

Tracy Turnbull

HR Manager

Tracy has worked for Daikin Applied UK for over 32 years, she joined the company on a Youth Training Scheme and has worked in various roles within the organisation. In 2001 she was given a great opportunity to join the HR Team working alongside the HR Director. In 2011 following a promotion Tracy took over the role of HR Manager for Daikin Applied UK. Tracy has 16 years’ experience in a wide range of HR support, including recruitment, implementation of company policies and procedures, pay and benefits, absence management, performance management , training and development and much more. She also works closely with Managers and Staff to ensure that HR are there to support the needs of the business as well as that of its employees and helps towards promoting reward benefits and health and well-being initiatives.
